Question of the Week

Stealing this one from the NaBloPoMo website

What would your dream home/apartment/condo/yurt look like? Where would it be? Who’d live in it with you?

Either a penthouse apartment overlooking the Thames, or a country cottage on the outskirts of a city, near the sea.

The Thames apartment would be uncluttered, have large windows and leather furniture, power shower, underfloor heating, concealed cupboards, a great music / tv combo and a king size bed.

The country cottage would be smaller, with secretive corners, a proper window seat with cushions and a view over the garden, an attic bedroom and an aga in the kitchen.

And, given this is pure fantasy, I would share with Ray Davies (long-time readers may have seen that one coming!)

Ray’s new album – guess what’s on my Christmas list? Looking good, Ray, looking as good as ever! Would you believe he is now 66? Jesus, where did my life go?!

Here is an interview with Ray about his new album, plus there is a video talking through the tracks.

Here is track listing with duetting artist.

And he could bring all his friends over too. No problem, Ray. Just give me enough warning to wash my hair and get a big pan of soup on…

Apartment in New York. 🙂 By myself. I don’t care where, but bigger than a shoebox would be nice.

    where did my life go?!

I think Ray asked that exact same question in 1969. It’s kind of funny when you consider he wasn’t even 30.

    Sounds like a winner!
